Mkhitaryan credits Emery with changing Arsenal culture
The culture at Arsenal has changed since Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger as manager, according to Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Wenger's 22-year reign in north London came to an end last season and Arsenal have shown improvement following Emery's appointment as his successor. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 15 games in all competitions and are four points off the Champions League places, though they will look to cut that gap to one by beating Wolves on Sunday. Mkhitaryan only played under Wenger for a few months having joined Arsenal in January as part of a transfer that saw Alexis Sanchez go the other way to Manchester United. However, he has still noticed a shift at Emirates Stadium, saying: "It is not that a big thing has changed, it is only the fact of the manager. "But as well the culture changed a bit in the club and as well outside the club. Now people are believing more in ourselves because we are playing a bit differently, we are giving them confidence and playing the way they want us to play. "We are scoring goals, winning games and it is the best feeling for the supporters." Asked what Emery himself has specifically changed since his arrival, Mkhitaryan said: "The playing style, the playing philosophy. Not a lot but he has just built on the base Arsene Wenger has built in 22 years. "The players have accepted all the conditions. Everything is what Emery is expecting and asking from us."

Higuain ruled out of Betis clash
Gonzalo Higuain will miss AC Milan's Europa League trip to Real Betis on Thursday as he continues to be troubled by a hip injury. Higuain hobbled out of last weekend's 1-0 victory over Udinese in Serie A with the problem and head coach Gennaro Gattuso is not ready to risk the striker in Europe, with one eye on Sunday's clash with Juventus. Patrick Cutrone started in Udine alongside Higuain and he is hoping his strike partner will not be sidelined for too long as Milan look to extend their three-game winning streak. "I'm waiting for him [Higuain]," Cutrone told Sky Sport Italia. "We all know how important he is. "We're all waiting for him. We're a very close-knit group." Lukaku misses United training ahead of Juventus clash
Romelu Lukaku is unlikely to face Juventus in the Champions League after missing training for Manchester United on Tuesday. United head to Turin for a Group H meeting on Wednesday, having been beaten 1-0 at home by Massimiliano Allegri's side two weeks ago. Lukaku started that match but was benched for United's following game, a Premier League win against his former club Everton. And the Belgium striker was not included in Jose Mourinho's squad for United's weekend victory away to Bournemouth, secured by Marcus Rashford's late goal. But the 25-year-old, who has not scored for United since the middle of September, was unable to take part in Tuesday's session. Lukaku's absence could offer England striker Rashford a chance to shine, with Mourinho's other attacking options including Alexis Sanchez and the in-form Anthony Martial, who has scored in four successive Premier League games. Here we go! #MUFC #UCL pic.twitter.com/KpoDwMl42F — Manchester United (@ManUtd) November 6, 2018 Juventus will be through to the next round if they avoid defeat against United, while the Serie A champions will guarantee they top the group if they win. Allegri has injury problems of his own, though, with doubts over Douglas Costa, Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Bernardeschi and Blaise Matuidi.

COMMENT: Blame Rog! Napoli's very own Mystic Meg. A nudge. A push. This can't be a coincidence. Days after a sly dig at Maurizio Sarri, the Chelsea manager was confirming what Marko Rog had basically foretold.

It must have slayed them. Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater. Okay, as Sarri stated, he had warned both of his impression months ago, but for the manager to go public like that. To virtually end both players' Chelsea careers. It must have hit them like a sledgehammer.

Jadon Sancho exit continues to rock Man City with starlet recommending new wonderkid Brahim Diaz to Borussia Dortmund

JADON SANCHO is continuing to rock Manchester City a year after leaving – by recommending Etihad teenager Brahim Diaz to Borussia Dortmund.

That is according to the Metro, who say the Bundesliga side are keen on signing Diaz in the January window.

The 19-year-old midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season.

Talks over a new deal are said to have stalled after the Spaniard looked for assurances over his first-team future.

He has been at the club since the age of 14 when he was labelled ‘mini Messi’ and has been linked with Real Madrid.

But just 12 senior appearances under Pep Guardiola have followed, with the pair clashing over whether Diaz should have joined Girona on loan last summer.

Jadon Sancho has been a revelation since joining DortmundGetty - Contributor

Sancho found himself in a similar position and jumped ship to Germany in 2017, where he has since been a revelation.

He has four goals in his past four games – including one in the 4-0 Champions League thumping of Atletico Madrid – and been rewarded with his first England cap.

Dortmund are believed to have asked Sancho, 18, about Diaz and he was “full of praise” for his former team-mate.

And Sancho looks set to stay in Germany for the long haul, despite being linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

Sancho’s career has gone from strength to strength since moving to GermanyAFP or licensors

He is valued at £40million after agreeing an extension to his deal last month.

And his stunning form has been reported with a three-fold rise in wages, taking his earnings to £2.7m a year.

GUNNER NIC PEPE

THE GUNNERS have stepped up in their pursuit for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivorian has already netted eight goals in 12 games this season, making the 22-year-old a wanted man by Manchester United as well.

The exciting youngster was named on the bench for the Gunners’ Europa League tie – and was then pole-axed when he got hit where it hurts most.

MESUT OZIL was full of praise for his Gunners team-mate Matteo Guendouzi after naming his the club’s best youngster.

The 19-year-old only moved to the Emirates in the summer from Ligue 2 – but has already become a regular in the Arsenal squad.

He retired from international duty after claiming that they disrespected him and were racist following his photo with Turkish president Recep Erdogan.

OZIL FEELS HEAT OVER BERN

MESUT OZIL has annoyed Arsenal fans by declaring Real Madrid’s Bernabeu as his favourite stadium.

BON CHANCE FOR CARL

ARSENAL have included forgotten defender Carl Jenkinson in their squad to face Sporting Lisbon – to the shock of some fans.

The trio were teaming up with Octopus Energy in a bid to promote clean air and an improvement of the enviornment.

BLING ‘N YANG

PIERRE-EMERICK Aubameyang showed off a £1million Ferrari after he scored twice in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Leicester.

The striker, 29, then took the chance to troll team-mate Mesut Ozil after he caught him watching his goal back on Tuesday.

MESUT CAN BE A GONER

MESUT OZIL loves Arsenal’s “sexy football” – but Graeme Souness says the midfielder is not always up for it.

The German star netted once and helped set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double in a 3-1 win over Leicester but Sky Sports pundit Souness says Ozil goes missing when the Gunners fail to dominate.

The former Real Madrid midfielder now has 30 top-flight strikes, one more than Tottenham legend Jurgen Klinsmann managed.

LUC AT THAT

LUCAS TORREIRA has been at the centre of Arsenal’s transformation in fortunes under Unai Emery this season, and many will have noticed he is also heavily tattooed.

Among the most important is one under his sock, paying homage to boyhood club Institucion Atletica de 18 de Julio, who gave him his start in football.

LAYING DOWN THE LAUR

LAURENT KOSCIELNY has returned to Arsenal training after a SIX MONTH spell on the sidelines.

The Frenchman ruptured his achilles against Atletico Madrid in May, missing the World Cup, but could soon be back in action.

The West Ham midfielder said the Frenchman had complete trust in him but he was told by new boss Unai Emery that he was not part of his plans.

ARSENAL are reportedly leading the chase for Hamburg’s former Rangers centre-back David Bates.

The Scotland Under-21 international has shone in the German second-tier this season.

RAM-MED HOME

ARSENAL have been brutally trolled on Twitter after the club posted a tweet celebrating ten years since Aaron Ramsey’s first goal for the club.

It was revealed earlier in October that the Gunners had taken their offer of a new deal for the Welshman off the table.

TIGHT CHRISTMAS

ARSENAL are preparing for a quiet January transfer window after revealing Stan Kroenke does NOT plan on splashing the cash.

Director of football Raul Sanllehi warned boss Unai Emery he will only get transfer funds if there is an emergency.

NO LACA RESPECT

UNAI EMERY is loving working with Alexandre Lacazette — two years after chasing him as Paris Saint-Germain boss.

The Arsenal striker is now playing a key role in Emery’s attempt to forge a new era at the Emirates.

FASHION SLIP

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG showed off his unusual style, turning up to an interview with Alex Scott in fluffy sleepers.

The Gunners striker was talking ahead of their clash against Leicester City on Monday.

WENGER FOR REAL OR BAYERN?

ARSENE WENGER is sure to return as a manager, maybe even with Real Madrid or Bayern Munich if he is patient.

ULI’S C**P APOLOGY

BAYERN MUNICH president Uli Hoeness says he should not have called Arsenal star Mesut Ozil ‘s**t’… because c**p would have been a better word.

Hoeness blasted Ozil after the midfielder claimed racism and discrimination were factors in him quitting international football – after he flopped at the World Cup.

The doors of Napoli are open – De Laurentiis keen on Cavani return
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis said the club's doors are open to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, should he seek a move back to Naples. Cavani's future at Parc des Princes has been the subject of speculation, with PSG coach Thomas Tuchel playing down reports of a rift after he substituted the Uruguayan during a 3-2 Champions League defeat to Liverpool in September. In an interview with Le Parisien, De Laurentiis expressed his long-held admiration for Cavani, who spent three seasons at Napoli before joining PSG in July 2013. "Cavani is great," said the Partenopei chief. "He scored more than 30 goals each year with us. "It depends only on him. The doors of Napoli are open to him." De Laurentiis made clear Cavani – who will come up against his former club on Wednesday in Champions League action – would have to take a wage cut to play for Napoli again, but indicated that there was plenty of time yet for the 31-year-old to return to Serie A. Ozil's international retirement can help Arsenal - Emery
Arsenal head coach Unai Emery believes Mesut Ozil's decision to retire from international football will help him adapt more quickly to his methods. The playmaker retired from international football in July citing what he felt was discrimination against his Turkish heritage from the German Football Association as a motivating factor, claims which were emphatically rejected by the governing body.  Ozil's outburst came after he felt he had been unfairly targeted for criticism following his meeting in May with controversial Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. At the time, Ozil said he would not be available for Germany "whilst I have this feeling of racism and disrespect", and was not called up for Die Mannschaft's recent double-header against Netherlands and France. Emery believes Arsenal will stand to benefit from Ozil's prolonged period on the Gunners' training pitch, starting with the Premier League clash against Leicester City on Monday. "I can't explain [my methods] to the players who are playing with the national teams," he told a media conference. M̶o̶n̶d̶a̶y̶ MATCHDAY  Yo @PremierLeague... WE ARE BACK  pic.twitter.com/xS1PyeWtWO — Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) October 22, 2018 "It is not easy because they are playing two matches. When the players stop for these games maybe they can lose focus for us with training and improving on things. It could help him [Ozil] find our ideas more quickly." Arsenal will be aiming for a 10th consecutive win in all competitions when the Foxes visit Emirates Stadium and Emery has warned his side against complacency in their bid to keep pace with the league's pacesetters. "We are doing it our way and we are improving," he said. "We need to carry on to find our best individual and collective performance to stay close to Manchester City and Chelsea. "But we need to get better at a lot of things now. We need to stay with the best teams. We need to get better at different things. We need to continue working calmly."

Neymar all smiles after ‘deal to rejoin Barcelona from PSG for £193m agreed’ due to Kylian Mbappe form

NEYMAR celebrated a potential £193million Barcelona return by rocking up at a surfing competition in Portugal.

According to reports, the Brazil icon has reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer back to the Camp Nou.

Neymar was in Portugal to watch pro surfer Gabriel Medina in a competition

It’s less than two years since Neymar left Barca for the French capital in a shock world-record £199m move.

But now, according to Cadena SER, the 26-year-old forward has come to an agreement with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that will see him leave next summer.

To celebrate, the prolific forward spent the day at a surfing competition in Portugal.

He was supporting fellow Brazilian and pro surfer Gabriel Medina at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal competition in Praia dos Super Tubos, Peniche.

Despite uncertainty over his future in Ligue 1, Neymar has still been in prolific form.

He has scored 11 goals in as many games for the French champions.

Yet Neymar has been upstaged so far this season by France’s World Cup star, Kylian Mbappe, who has ten goals in seven appearances for PSG.

The 19-year-old striker has become the main man at the Parc des Princes which may have freed up the possibility of Neymar returning to La Liga.

REAL MADRID are set to offer Gareth Bale AND cash to Chelsea in their latest desperate bid to sign Eden Hazard in January, according to reports in Spain.

The La Liga giants have been pursuing Hazard for months now – with the Belgian even claiming he “dreams” of playing for the Galacticos.

However, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has now revealed the club are set to offer Hazard, 27, a bumper new contract in order to tempt into staying at Stamford Bridge.

Buck said: “Every Chelsea fan in London and around the world loves Eden Hazard, and he’s not only a great footballer but I think he’s a wonderful lad.

“We want him to stay and we will do what we have to do to entice him to stay. Let’s see how it goes between now and the end of the season.”

Hazard himself has chimed in, calling a January transfer to the Bernabeu “impossible”.

The in-form Chelsea star claimed: “Chelsea were clear with me [in the summer]. I couldn’t leave the club. I accepted it.

“Anyway… leaving or staying, I was going to be happy. I do not regret this decision at all.

“When decisions are made [that you may not like] you can sulk and often you get the last word.

“But I will never look to clash with the club. Chelsea have given me a lot.

Meanwhile, Bale is set to snub Chelsea in a desperate bid to prove his worth in Spain.

The 21-year-old has become one of the most highly-regarded youngsters in Europe, with Barcelona and PSG also interested.

Frenkie De Jong has been a star for both Ajax and Holland this season and is wanted around EuropeGetty

The Etihad club have sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions so far this season, and have been impressed.

And City are looking to launch bid for the Dutch midfielder in January, and could let him stay at Ajax for the rest of the season.

The Eredivisie side are reluctant to sell one of their star assets, but may be interested if the right offer comes onto the table.

They are huge admirers of Ilkay Gundogan and are keen to land the 27-year-old German midfielder as part of any deal.

An Etihad source said: “Ajax do not want to sell him but the club think that if the right off was proposed they could be persuaded.

“There have been talks already between the two at a high level. They want Ilkay but there’s little possibility that will be allowed to happen.”

De Jong has made 30 appearances for Ajax and scored one goal after breaking into the first-team back in 2016.
